Varies (Shift work, including rotation, weekends, and holidays) Subject to change PURPOSE OF DIVISION The purpose of Houston Airport System (HAS) Maintenance Business Unit is to effectively deliver self-performed maintenance services at each of the three HAS airports. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The purpose of the Maintenance Mechanic III position is to prevent mechanical failure of equipment, to identify and correct safety hazards, and inspect, repair, clean and maintain several types of equipment: pumps, miscellaneous rotating and reciprocating equipment, plumbing equipment (sinks, commodes, urinals, flush valves, and faucets) and machinery throughout the airport complex. This position may be assigned duties at all Houston Airport System facilities including IAH, HOU, and EFD.
