Job Title: Refrigeration Technician II Location: Houston, TX Type: Direct Hire System One is assisting a client in hiring a Refrigeration Technician II for their East Houston facility. Qualifications: u2022 High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. u2022 Two-Three years of experience and Professional cert or in the process of getting Professional certification. u2022 Ideal candidate will possess a mechanical background and trade school or related education. u2022 Basic computer skills and knowledge required. u2022 Must have own tools- DVOM, refrigeration gauges, hand tools, power tools, etc. u2022 Ability to perform basic mathematic skills. u2022 Ability to work overtime as required. u2022 Comprehends and able to apply basic refrigeration and 12VDC/ Ohmu2019s Law fundamentals. Essential Responsibilities: u2022 Perform Preventive Maintenance on trailers, trucks, apuu2019s. u2022 Basic refrigeration skills & diagnosis- leak check, recovery, evacuation & charging. u2022 Replacement of components as needed such as belts, hoses, batteries, starters, alternators, etc. u2022 Basic electrical skills & diagnosis utilizing DVOM and other tools as required. u2022 Battery Maintenance & diagnosis. u2022 Installation/ removal of refrigeration units. u2022 Use of computer/ laptop to apply to and complete work orders, read service documents/ material, electrical wiring diagrams & schematics, refrigeration flow diagrams, aid in diagnosis, etc. u2022 Housekeeping- keeps work area, service bay(s), toolbox clean and orderly. u2022 Follows safe working practices and company policies, wears proper PPE. Physical Demands: u2022 Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
