Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Organizational Resources and Support Division, Business Operations Branch, Business Information Systems Section, located in Indianapolis, IN Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Responsibilities This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Organizational Resources and Support Division, Business Operations Branch, Business Information Systems (BIS) Section and serves as a Section Chief. The BIS Section is responsible for the management and support of the CBP real property system of record, TRIRIGA, as well as facilities-related geospatial capabilities. The section develops technical policies, provides system oversight, change management, system quality control and assurance, training, systems access support, as well as strategic planning and guidance for future systems capabilities. This position starts at a salary of $126,947.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $165,037.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $165,037 (GS-14 Step 10). Typical duties include: Overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of various BIS and systems of record (such as TRIRIGA). Serving as a project leader and providing administrative direction related to developing business cases, strategies, and execution of projects designed to enhance BIS and related data utilization. Ensuring systems and data consistently meet CBP enterprise-wide use needs which therefore impact CBP enterprise-wide mission requirements. Analyzing, facilitating, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements, improving quality, reducing costs, and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls. Monitoring program accomplishments and identifying actual or potential problem areas, trends, merit or deficiency situations, areas of imbalance or other similar factors.
