The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU u2014 the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Supportu00ae program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions. NICU Level IV: + 49 beds + Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above + 1-2 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby + Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7 This position will be working 48 hours every two weeks on the day/night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend. Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs. + Performs advanced monitoring using current technology + High Frequency ventilation + Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies + Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) + Central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines Required: + 1 year of RN experience OR at least 6 months of current employment at UMMCH as a NICU RN + MN RN License + BLS Preferred + BSN or BAN + Certification in related specialty.
