This job is REMOTE.FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details:0800-1630 Holidays: No Weekends: No Job Summary: The UtilizationManagement Specialist provides clerical support to the UtilizationReview and Preauthorization teams to assist with patient transitions.Provides payor documentation through the provision of information topayors, documentation of authorizations and payor clinical informationrequests in the electronic health record. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Aminimum of three (3) years of related experience is required. Experienceworking in a hospital billing office and/or admitting, health insuranceand managed care program, Medicare and managed care denial managementexperience, preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma orequivalent is required. Billing and clinical coding or medicalterminology coursework, preferred. Associate or Bachelor's degree inhealthcare related field, preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Analytical skills necessary to obtain information from patients andfamilies, external customers, and ability to interact professionallywith internal and external customers including hospital personnel andpeers. Good organizational skills. Final compensation isbased on experience and will be discussed with you by the recruiterduring the interview process.
