Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Francisco, California. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage biu2011weekly payroll, including employee setup, changes, and terminations in ADP, in coordination with HR. u2022 Handle payroll-related filings and payments, including taxes, retirement contributions, workersu2019 compensation, garnishments, and benefits. u2022 Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay issues with HR, ADP, and applicable agencies. u2022 Maintain, audit, and distribute payroll records and support annual payroll, benefits, and workersu2019 compensation audits. u2022 Reconcile balance sheet, payroll, tax, benefits, and corporate expense GL accounts; investigate and correct variances. u2022 Prepare and post reconciliation, adjusting, and yearu2011end journal entries; escalate unresolved issues as needed. u2022 Support corporate tax filings, bank reconciliations, monthu2011end close, and financial analysis. u2022 Apply GAAP consistently, support audits, improve processes, adapt to new systems, and work collaboratively across teams. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a closely related discipline required u2022 5u20136 years of hands-on experience in accrual-based accounting, preferably within real estate organizations u2022 Background in nonprofit, corporate, or commercial real estate accounting is a plus u2022 Proven experience producing financial statements and performing monthly trend and variance reviews u2022 Familiarity with payroll processing and related audit support u2022 Solid command of GAAP and fixed asset accounting practices u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively u2022 Capable of managing multiple priorities with strong planning and organization skills u2022 Comfortable using accounting systems and technology; advanced skills in Excel and experience with NetSuite preferred u2022 Yardi experience is beneficial Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
