Requisition ID: 181111 Position Summary Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Experience Level Intermediate Primary Responsibilities and Duties u2022 Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans and determines best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems u2022 Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations u2022 Installs control and distribution apparatusu2019 and fastens in place u2022 Test and start up systems and continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of components u2022 Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement u2022 May be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment u2022 Work with high and low voltage systems u2022 Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems u2022 Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools Qualifications u2022 May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. u2022 Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position. u2022 Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision. u2022 Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently. Requirements u2022 The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl u2022 Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions u2022 Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required u2022 May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds u2022 Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces u2022 Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment u2022 May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site u2022 Must have required tools u2022 May require U.S. Driver License u2022 Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required u2022 Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
