Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Miami. This role involves supporting high-profile $100 million+ high-rise condo and mixed-use projects. The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in managing project execution, focusing on work coordination, procurement, subcontractor/supplier expedition, and resolving design drawing conflicts. Responsibilities + Assist in setting up the jobsite office, securing trailers/equipment, and obtaining necessary permits. + Review and approve all shop drawings and submittals to ensure accuracy. + Expedite and monitor the status of all subcontractor and vendor materials. + Communicate persistently with subcontractors regarding schedules and conflicts, diligently following up to resolve issues. + Participate in the development and issuance of the project schedule. + Organize and administer on-site contractor job coordination meetings. + Participate in project meetings and issue meeting minutes. + Review project costs incurred and assist in cost projecting. + Identify, communicate, and resolve design-drawing conflicts during construction, keeping the team informed. + Work with the Superintendent to resolve field problems. + Prepare, track, log, and distribute Requests For Information (RFIs). + Administer pricing information, track, evaluate, and prepare pricing of owner and subcontractor change order requests for Project Manager review. + Estimate and record all changes to the scope of work and issue change orders after review. + Assist in implementing and maintaining the on-site safety program, including safety inspections and MSDS manual. + Review and verify costs with field/delivery tickets for Project Manager review. + Assist in preparing monthly owner billings. + Assist with purchasing and issuing subcontracts and purchase orders. + Assist in training other associates. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related engineering discipline. + At least 2 years of experience supporting large high-rise condo, mixed-use, or commercial construction projects. + Proficiency in traditional construction industry software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Procore, Primavera P6, and more. Additional Skills & Qualifications + LEED, AP certification preferred. + Experience with computerized estimating systems, Drone Deploy, Viewpoint/Vista financial software, Blue Beam editing software, Building Connected/Procore Subcontractor Solicitation/Prequalification, and BIM 360 Glue is advantageous. Work Environment The Project Engineer will report to a Project Manager and be required to be onsite daily.
