Description Our Transmission & Distribution global practice is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Underground and Submarine Cable business in our Great Lakes Region. The Project Manager will manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of underground distribution and or transmission work. Project Managers are expected to proactively grow client relationships into repeat business and expand service offerings. They will be responsible for the profit and loss of individual projects, the successful completion of projects within specified dates, and the establishment and maintenance of a professional and satisfactory relationship with the client, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will assist with pursuing new clients and maintaining existing clients through direct marketing responsibilities. Office location to be Chicago, IL. Primary responsibilities of the Project Manager will include: + Prepare proposals, assist in presentations, and participate in contract negotiations. + Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion, including routing/siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, construction administration, and closeout. + Leverage existing client relationships, create new client relationships, and focus on repeat work within each client account. + Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs. + Assist with internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, risk management, change management, and human resource issues. + Serve as the primary point of contact with clients regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment. + Manage all aspects of project communication + Develop and implement project policies and procedures, establish project controls systems, and implement the project execution plan. + Work closely with the Project Team to ensure deliverables and services are being provided to the clientu2019s satisfaction and that projects are following internal QA/QC guidelines. + Report regularly on progress, cost, and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring support. + Travel to clients and project locations is expected periodically. + All other duties as assigned. Qualifications + A bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited program, plus 7 years of applicable experience, is required. + Professional Engineering (PE) registration is preferred. + Prior experience executing or project-managing underground utility projects is strongly preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice. + Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office + Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives. + Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software. Compensation $140,000.00-290,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
