Our Space division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer - Systems and Audits Specialist to join our dynamic team This Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure QMS operational efficiency and audit readiness for our Fluid Controls Business Unit. As our Senior Quality Engineer - Systems and Audits Specialist, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for: Review, assess, and provide guidance on QMS processes. Select and lead initiatives to modernize and optimize QMS process, working process owners and stakeholders, as required. Mentor and train cross-functional teams on QMS processes, tools, and methods. Create or revise QMS documentation, as needed. Ensure AS9100 and customer audit readiness for the Fluid Controls Business Unit. Support customer and third-party audit support, including leading corrective action investigations for QMS related findings. Monitor Quality Process KPIs Support additional improvement initiatives, as requested To be considered for the Senior Quality Engineer - Systems and Audits Specialist role, you will need to bring with you: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of relevant experience ~OR~ At least 8 years previous Quality experience in lieu of the degree ~PLUS~ At least three years in process improvement, audits, and/or quality systems. Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree). Solid working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001; experience with AS9145/APQP preferred. Strong analytical and prioritization skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
