QC Certification Specialist (Clerical position!)

This is a 1st shift position working Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.Quality Control Certification Specialistsare responsible for dealing with mill certifications and compliance forms for projects. In addition, they will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of a face-paced quality control environment.Areas of Responsibility for our QC Certification Specialist:Review mill certifications for both Lancaster and Williamsport plants, ensuring accuracy of materialProvide phone coverage for the department and act as the primary point of contact for outside inspectorsPreparing job files for outside inspectors and they begin fabricationProvide bay sequencing and completion statusMaintain inspection notifications and weekend notificationsData entry of material and paint informationOur next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) requiredExperience with coordinating and scheduling project schedules in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentExperience in and knowledge of steel fabrication processesExperience communicating with quality inspectors to ensure accuracy of materials and weekly production scheduling for our Lancaster fabrication facilityNotary Public preferred, or willing to obtainAccurate data entry skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to provide professional and courteous service to outside inspection agenciesKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office and SAP, requiredWorking for The High Companies:At High Steel Structures coworker are a high priority!
