Come join us and see how we leverage people and technology to deliver a superior product, outshine our competition, and find creative and innovative solutions to everyday problems.Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000What we offer:Participation in and financial benefit from our shared employee ownership programHybrid work experience in downtown ChicagoCareer development and growth opportunitiesAbility to gain exposure to all areas of the businessGreat benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental and a 401k planAnnual discretionary bonus programTeam oriented, fun and friendly work environmentImmediate opportunity to make a large impactPosition Summary:The HR Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the People Operations and field management teams within multiple areas of compliance including internal policy, department of transportation, as well as federal, state and local laws as they relate to the HR function.Key Responsibilities:Independently manage employee credentialing, including pre-employment qualifications, continuous license monitoring CDL and non-CDL license requirements driver medical certifications, reporting, and third-party vendor managementMaintain TPS' driver compliance program, including , and internal or external auditsAssist with employee audits (I9, E-Verify, DOT, DOL, and others)Support employees and leaders by addressing day-to-day compliance inquiries and maintaining updated compliance templates and process documentsMaintain driver qualification files and vehicle files as well as perform periodic audits to ensure complianceResponsible for partnering with the HRBP team to review MVR reports to ensure safe hiring and retention practicesCoordinate the TPS drug and alcohol testing programs for all locations across the portfolioMaintain leave of absence tracking and employee communications while ensuring compliance to all state and federal requirementsCoordinate the unemployment process to include coordinating employer representatives for hearings, responding to claims, and submitting required documentationCoordinate and manage the calendar for minimum wage or union increases, labor law poster distributionAssist the administration of the Clearinghouse entries and reporting requirements with TPS compliance vendors, including manual processes or integrated systemsMaintain a high level of ethics, transparency, and accuracy when reporting compliance risks and potential exposureKnowledge, Skills & Experience Required: 3+ years of experience in either HR, Compliance, or Safety positionsDOT or Transportation industry experience preferredExperience using dashboards, Excel, and an HRIS, preferably UKGSelf-starter, highly skilled in areas of attention to detail, follow-up, multi-tasking, and organizationComfortable collaborating with and serving as liaison to employees at all levels within the organizationExcellent interpersonal and communication skills______Any disclosed pay range is based on a consideration of neutral factors and criteria such as required qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, seniority, etc. The Parking Spot reserves the right to offer the selected candidate or applicant a salary at an appropriate level to be set and determined by the employer that is commensurate with the applicant's qualifications, experience, education, skill, training, certifications, or seniority.At The Parking Spot, we don't just accept difference - we celebrate and seek it.
