Sr Research Scientist

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description OUR TEAM:The Nucleic Acids Technologygroup at Promega consists of highly experienced and dedicatedscientists. The group focus is developing high quality products foramplification related workflows across multiple technologies anddisciplines including Life Sciences and Diagnostics. YOUR ROLE: As SrResearch Scientist 1 you would be involved in the scientific leadershipof the company, i.e. management, mentoring, consensus building and/oract as technical expert in multiple areas of specialization. Applyscientific leadership to individual R&D Projects. Demonstrate theability to execute and champion innovative research. Formulate anoverall project strategy for experimental design in the context ofexperimental results and scientific literature. CORE DUTIES: 1. Design,develop, and validate amplification assays and platform workflows fordiverse applications including absolute quantification and rare targetdetection; troubleshoot complex amplification challenges. 2. Apply AI/MLtools, machine learning algorithms, and advanced data analytics to qPCR,dPCR, NGS and molecular biology datasets to extract biological insights,identify novel assay modalities, and develop predictive models for assayperformance optimization. 3. Leverage NGS knowledge to supportsequencing-related initiatives and integrate qPCR, dPCR and NGScapabilities within multi-omics workflows. 4. Work independently andcollaboratively to create novel product concepts, experimentalstrategies, and applications for nucleic acid amplificationtechnologies. 5. Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams-includingbioinformatics scientists, data science groups, and commercial andproduct development teams-to accelerate assay innovation andcomputational integration. 6. Communicate findings effectively throughscientific reports, presentations, and cross-functional discussions. 7.Provide scientific mentorship to junior scientists and contribute tobuilding a collaborative, innovative team environment. 8. Demonstratesinclusion through their own words and actions and is accountable for asafe workspace. Acts with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.9.
