Band Saw Operator

Job Title: Band Saw Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator to join our team. The position operates on a 1st Shift schedule, from 6am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves operating bandsaw equipment to cut light gauge structural steel parts and occasionally wood components, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Responsibilities + Operate bandsaw equipment to cut light gauge structural steel parts to specification. + Occasionally cut wood components as required by project scope. + Read and interpret basic blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists. + Measure, mark, and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy and quality. + Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures. + Perform basic equipment checks and routine maintenance. + Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet daily production goals. + Assist with material handling, staging, and general shop tasks as needed. Essential Skills + Experience operating a bandsaw or similar cutting equipment (steel or mixed materials preferred). + Ability to read basic blueprints and measurements. + Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, etc.). + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods. + Reliable, punctual, and safety focused. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools. + Experience in assembly, production, and general labor tasks. Why Work Here?
