Description We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Miami, Florida. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can independently manage tax-related processes while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, handling complex tax preparation and audit support with minimal supervision. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and manage individual, corporate, and sales tax returns with precision and efficiency. u2022 Oversee the tax filing process to ensure timely and accurate submissions. u2022 Collaborate with auditors and respond to organizational requests related to tax matters. u2022 Handle sales and use tax compliance, including preparation and reporting. u2022 Execute ad hoc accounting projects and provide managerial-level support as needed. u2022 Monitor changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance and advise on necessary adjustments. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax preparation workflow. u2022 Provide expert guidance on tax preparation and filing requirements. u2022 Ensure all tax-related documentation is properly organized and maintained. Requirements u2022 Extensive experience in preparing individual, corporate, and sales tax returns. u2022 Strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and compliance requirements. u2022 Proven ability to manage tax filing processes independently and with minimal supervision. u2022 Familiarity with audit procedures and the ability to support organizational audit requests. u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. u2022 Proficiency in tax preparation software and accounting systems. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
