CAD Designer Senior Team Lead A&E

About the Role: As a CBRE CAD Sr. Designer Team Lead, you will design and prepare complex electronic working plans, maps, and drawings for successful implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous vehicles throughout multiple data centers. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team creating engineering documentation and design drawing packages. This job is part of the Design function. They are responsible for preparing and producing proposals and planning applications for internal and external partners. This position will work on-site in Goose Creek, SC. What Youu2019ll Do: u25cf Prepare prints of various original plans and records for internal and external agency use. Review updated various drawings for changes, utilizing computer-aided drafting techniques. u25cf CAD Operator requirements may vary according to Client-determined assignments, but most content relates to gathering existing site conditions and generating path layouts for industrial AGV (Autonomous Guided Vehicle) equipment and systems in the robotics portfolio at the Client's data centers. u25cf Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. u25cf Own and continuously improve CAD processes new ideas and innovations for tackling complex problems. u25cf Gather data to complete complex drawings by visiting the site directly. Perform repetitive field measurement tasks for long durations such as bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, climbing stairs, etc. u25cf Coordinate the CAD design for Navigation Tape and GeoMarker installation package: u25cb Installation Drawings u25cb Navigation Design Layout u25cb GeoMarker datum development u25cb Material Takeoff u25cf Quickly and efficiently collect existing site conditions and field observations to provide accurate redlines to revise/edit design drawing packages. u25cf Conduct pre/post installation audits of 3rd party navigation and datum field installation team u25cf Revise/Edit CAD packages and Lucidchart Navigation Graphs as needed from field audits or engineering changes. u25cf Verify that the development of maps and drawings that are spatially accurate and technically correct. u25cf Subject matter expert for internal and external partners to obtain details of projects, including equipment, materials, and codes. u25cf Review on-site information entered into the database to ensure current building conditions and data are accurate. u25cf Promote organizational capabilities and identify sale opportunities to potential clients. u25cf Competent in Autodesk Software - CAD BIM Solidworks BIM360 etc. u25cf Knowledge of Best Management Practices CAD/BIM environment. u25cf Manage shifting priorities and design production to coordinate with field installation schedules. u25cf Document and manage risks, issues, actions and decisions that affect deliverables. u25cf Provide field support quickly and efficiently and quality control to the client engineering team during automation validation by updating navigation design drawings and graphs. u25cf Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. u25cf Have a broad knowledge of your own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. u25cf Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations both orally and in writing. u25cf Ability to be effective both when working independently and as part of a team u25cf Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. What Youu2019ll Need: u25cf Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. u25cf Bacheloru2019s degree in architecture preferred. u25cf Strong understanding of Architectural Engineering principals is preferred. u25cf Professional experience using Autodesk Software - CAD BIM Solidworks BIM360 etc is preferred. u25cf Knowledge of Best Management Practices CAD/BIM environment is preferred. u25cf Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. u25cf Willingness to work toward gaining a clear understanding of product requirements by reviewing, understanding, interpreting and revising technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, mockups, and prototypes is preferred. u25cf Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. u25cf In-depth knowledge of the Google Suite - G Docs, G Sheets, Slides, G Drive preferred.
