Join us Job Summary and Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients with a broad range of illnesses. The RN is involved in direct and indirect patient care. The RN provides direction to licensed vocational nurses (LVNs) and other non-licensed nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. The staff nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the hospital. In collaboration with other health team members, follows the philosophy, policies and goals of the facility and department. What qualifications you will need: + EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required:Graduate of accredited nursing school Preferred:Computer skills LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Required:Current Texas RN license. If Compact License, Texas License must be obtained within90 days of hire.(or current compact RN licensure in approved state if claiming residency in other state) BLS certificationthrough the AHAor Red Cross. ACLSrequiredthrough AHA or Red Crossin: L&D,ED, PACU, Endo, ICU, Imaging,OR (only if performing moderate sedation activities). New hires have90 daysto obtain ACLS.ER, L&D andICU6 months. NRPrequiredin: L&D. New hires have 6 months to obtain NRP in L&D. Preferred:Previous experience in clinical nursing preferred.
