Under broad direction, you will upgrade and expand network-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, analyze current working infrastructure, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-criticalsystems.Asa Field Service Engineer, you will influence team members, the customer, and vendors to define, analyze, and provide solutions for the customer’s sensor data transportrequirements. The world can’t wait.You Have:4+ yrs of experience withnetwork systems supporting customers in a technical environmentExperience troubleshooting signal flow from sensor to distribution routerExperience with Military and Commercial satellite communications modems and antenna systemsSecret clearanceBachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with systems administration, or 10+ years of experience in systems administration in lieu of a degreeSecret clearanceAbility to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M or DoDM 8140.03 Certification such as Security+ Certification within 30 days of start dateNice If You Have:Experience with network administration or network engineering, including leveraging monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools, and configuring and installing network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, or QoSExperience with VMWare NSXExperience with developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), quick reference guides, and training materialsExperience withroot-causeanalytic tools to measure article performance, deflection rates, and usage metricsKnowledge of Gem One and KGKnowledge of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, or QoSKnowledge of Radio Frequency theoryAbility to analyze ticket trends and propose knowledge gaps or process improvementClearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is pensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
