Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role involves overseeing financial reporting and accounting operations for a dynamic upstream gas infrastructure business. The position requires a strong leader who can manage complex accounting processes, ensure compliance, and provide critical financial insights to senior management. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage a team of project controllers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. u2022 Oversee the general ledger for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Direct monthly close cycles and prepare quarterly and annual financial reports. u2022 Manage fixed asset accounting processes and impairment assessments. u2022 Coordinate internal and external audit support and ensure audits are completed efficiently. u2022 Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures for the upstream business. u2022 Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to senior management. u2022 Ensure adherence to controls related to financial reporting and fixed assets. u2022 Monitor technical accounting issues and implement solutions as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, business, or a related field with at least 18 accounting credit hours. u2022 Minimum of 8 years of experience in upstream oil and gas accounting. u2022 At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience. u2022 Proficient knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate data effectively. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel and upstream accounting systems. u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is preferred. u2022 Ability to meet tight deadlines and collaborate effectively with team members.
