Frequently will work with support of more senior engineers. Uses creativity and innovation while working closely with the overall project team members to tailor best fit of standard application and product offering to meet customer needs. Independently executes small projects with minimal supervision.Essential FunctionsDevelops robotic application programs using industrial robot controllers,mainly Fanucand Yaskawa (Motoman), but could include other major industrial robot manufacturers; usually for small projects and retrofits; supports design of projects of all sizesPerforms diverse, specialized, and complex work involving significant accountability and decision-makingPrepares robot programming and configuration documentationMaintains a progress schedule that meets project milestones and effectively time manages and communicates individual schedule risks as applicableParticipates in robot area performance and throughput analyses with other project team members, through means of simulation software and/orfirst handdata collection and observation of systems in operationWorks closely with the Mechanical and Controls Engineering project design team members to integrate robot solutionsOccasionally, performs troubleshooting and support activities on existing in-operation systems previously implemented by other Daifuku-Daifukuteam membersFollows industrial robot teaching and programming safety practicesPerforms on-site commissioningPerforms system validation as per project requirementsEnsures that all project checklists and project electronic documents are complete and properly archivedFollows Engineering StandardsTravels up to 50%Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree in technical or engineering related field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent level of experienceMinimum of 4 years of material handling related experienceExperience with industrial robots, FANUC and/or Yaskawa Motoman preferredExperience with industrial robotics and automation safety practices and standards is a plus (will train as required)Experience with industrial controls including PLC’s is highly desiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities RequirementsKnowledge of industrial automation systemsKnowledge of industrial robots (FANUC, Yaskawa Motoman, ABB, Kuka, etc) and end effectorsGood time management skillsAbility to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam-oriented and collaborativeCreative-thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to learn new technologiesSelf-motivatedAbility to work non-traditional hoursMust be able to speak, read and understand the English languageBenefit InformationMany great benefits to include Health/Vision/Dental/401k with match/Pet InsuranceFSA/HSAEmployee Assistance ProgramEOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal ContractorIf you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email
