Job Description

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Cloud Architect to support our U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. This role will lead cloud architecture, migration, and modernization efforts, supporting mission-critical transportation and logistics systems aligned with USTRANSCOM objectives.The Cloud Architect will design, deploy, and optimize cloud-native environments using AWS services, while driving application modernization through containerization and DevSecOps practices. This position provides technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that support the IBS program.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud architecture, DevSecOps, and modernization strategies, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate across stakeholders in a complex, mission-driven environment.Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architectures in AWS, including containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker)Develop and execute application migration strategies, including legacy system transition, data migration, architecture design, and gap analysisSupport refactoring of legacy applications into microservices-based, containerized architecturesDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormationLead transition of existing pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to modern platforms such as GitLab CI/CDEnsure cloud environments meet DoD security and compliance standards (DISA STIGs/SRGs, RMF, FedRAMP)Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate infrastructure provisioning and configurationUtilize orchestration and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, GitLab) to support efficient deployments and operationsPerform load testing and implement auto-scaling solutions to ensure system performance and availabilityMaintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, pipelines, and system configurationsCollaborate with development, sustainment, and requirements teams to ensure infrastructure supports application needsServe as a technical advisor to Government stakeholders and program leadership on cloud strategy and implementationTroubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues across environmentsActive Secret ClearanceIAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering/architecture, with a focus on AWS or similar cloud platformsStrong experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)Expertise in cloud migration strategies, including application refactoring and modernizationExperience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practicesProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance frameworksExperience working in Linux-based environmentsStrong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred:AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification (Azure, GCP)Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or DoD transportation/logistics systemsExperience with AWS GovCloud environmentsFamiliarity with DevSecOps toolchains (GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, SonarQube, Nessus, FortifyExperience implementing DoD security frameworks (RMF, STIGs, FedRAMP)Experience supporting Agile/DevSecOps environments at scaleEEO and Affirmative Action Policy:DecisionPoint Corporation is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
