Channel Partners is seeking a Global PR & Events Specialist to join the Global PR team, based in Chicago. This role supports the planning and execution of PR and global experiential events, with a strong focus on research, logistics, and operational support.You’ll work closely with the Motorola (client) PR team and cross-functional partners to support global product launches, trade shows, and internal events. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within global events, external comms and experiential marketing.USD $45,000.00/Yr.USD $50,000.00/Yr.Competitive biweekly pay with bonus potential Health and wellness benefits plans Flexible vacation and holiday policiesPaid parental leave 401(k) with employer matchingAuto and technology allowanceReferral bonusTax savings with flexible spending accounts for parking, transit, dependents, and healthcare costsOpportunity to work with a growing company that actively rewards and promotes its employeeEvent Research & Logistics SupportResearch, source, and support the booking of venues for global events, including product launches, trade shows, and internal meetingsResearch, source, book, and manage hotel room blocks for global staff and leadership, ensuring accuracy and efficiencySupport site research and preparation for venue visits and site checksAssist with event logistics planning, including schedules, transportation coordination, and on-site needsTrade Shows & Lenovo CollaborationCollaborate with Lenovo events teams to support Motorola’s presence at global trade showsAssist with planning and execution logistics tied to shared Lenovo/Motorola trade show environmentsSupport coordination across teams to ensure Motorola requirements are reflected within master trade show plansCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with internal partners across Brand, Social Media, and Product Marketing to support PR and event needsSupport alignment with Brand to ensure event elements follow Motorola brand guidelinesAssist senior team members with day-to-day coordination and execution tasksPre, During & Post-Event SupportOrder, prepare and ship products for PR events and tradeshowsSupport on-site event execution, including registration, staff coordination, and logisticsAssist with post-event recaps by collecting feedback, notes, and learnings from internal teamsFinance & Budget SupportAssist with tracking spend against budget throughout the event lifecyclePartner closely with Finance, Procurement and external agencies to ensure accurate, invoicing, timely payments and compliance with internal policiesMonitor contracts, purchase orders, and expense approvals, ensuring financial accuracy and audit readiness.Experience and Education:2 years of experience in events, marketing, communications, or a related fieldExperience supporting event logistics, hotel bookings, or venue research is strongly preferredStrong organizational and communication skillsComfort working with spreadsheets, timelines, and detailed planning documentsInterest in global events and experiential marketingSkills and Attributes:Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliableA strong team player who enjoys collaborating across teamsComfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentCurious, proactive, and eager to learn about global events and experiential marketingOpen to travel up to 20% of the timePhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
