Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilledHeavy Equipment Diesel Mechanicto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth moving, and related construction equipment. Your duties will include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, and bobcats, as well as company vehicles.Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.Handle complex and major repairs independently.Utilize middle to advanced-level welding skills for various types of welding as needed.Respond to field service calls with a focus on delivering high-quality, timely repairs.Conduct on-site repairs at job locations to minimize downtime.Maintain clear and consistent communication with managers regarding repair progress and parts inventory needs.Work effectively within a team, demonstrating a willingness to learn and train others.Build and maintain positive working relationships.Preferred Qualifications5+ years of heavy-duty diesel or automotive mechanic experience.Experience using diagnostic scan tools.Trade school certification in a related field.Stable work history demonstrating reliability and expertise.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
