Assembler Technician - 1st Shift - Poway - $20/hr Job Description As an Assembler Technician, you will work under general supervision to assemble shock absorber assemblies, sub-assemblies, hose assemblies, and accessory kits. You will ensure that all products meet the company's quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities + Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list; gather parts, tools, and materials. + Assemble component parts to company specifications and customer expectations, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards. + Assemble shocks, sub-assemblies, or hose assemblies according to approved drawings or visual aids. + Operate machinery and use hand/power tools such as pneumatic press, torque wrench, and drill. + Operate a circular saw for cutting hose assemblies according to blueprint specifications. + Clean and prepare parts and sub-assemblies for assembly. + Recommend changes for process or quality improvements. + Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies. + Perform visual and mechanical inspections of parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies for defects and quality issues. + Bring quality issues to the attention of lead or supervisor for further direction. + Ensure all housekeeping activities are completed, maintaining an orderly work area. + Exhibit integrity through fair and ethical behaviors, maintaining accountability for performance. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills + Minimum of 1 year related experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment. + Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills. + Able to measure in millimeters. + Basic knowledge of hand tools and machine operation. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitious duties. + Proficient computer skills: typing, word processing, printing, etc. + Ability to navigate and utilize software tools such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft. + Knowledge of basic math, including decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Successful employment track record in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. + Certificate from a technical or vocational school desired. + Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and written instructions. + Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Work Environment This role involves working in a manufacturing and R&D environment focused on performance shocks. The position follows a 4-10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, with potential overtime on Fridays. The work requires standing for the entire shift and includes three breaks throughout the day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.
