Framing Carpenter

Job Title: Framing Carpenter Job Description We are seeking an experienced framing carpenter to support custom home and commercial builds around the greater San Fernando Valley. This role requires strong structural framing skills, the ability to work independently, and experience working on high-end residential projects. Candidates must be able to perform wall framing, blocking, and read basic blueprints. Responsibilities + Perform wall framing, layout, and structural installation. + Install proper blocking for cabinets, rails, fixtures, and shear requirements. + Use skill saws, nail guns, and other framing tools safely. + Read and interpret basic blueprints to complete assigned tasks. + Work with project leads to maintain build quality and project timelines. + Follow all jobsite safety rules and maintain clean work areas. + Assist with general framing tasks as needed (no finish carpentry). Essential Skills + Minimum 3 years of framing experience. + Ability to frame walls, install blocking, and follow structural plans. + Competent understanding of basic blueprint reading. + Proficient with skill saws, nail guns, levels, and framing tools. + Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. + Comfortable working outdoors on an active construction site. The position is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a structured workday. The project is a custom home build, and you will need to bring your own skill saw and nail gun with hoses. Steel-toe boots are required for safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winnetka, CA 91306.
