Electrical Designer / Drafter Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time (Temp-to-Perm) Position Summary Adecco is partnering with a client in Middletown, NY and is seeking an electrical designer/drafter supports the design and documentation of electrical power and control systems in accordance with customer specifications and applicable industry codes and standards (NEC, NEMA, UL, ETL, etc.). This role collaborates closely with engineers, project managers, and service personnel to ensure accurate system design, documentation integrity, and successful project implementation. This position requires strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team-oriented engineering environment. Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering Support + Assist in the design of electrical power and control systems per customer requirements and industry standards. + Interpret assembly drawings, vendor schematics, wire lists, and related documentation to complete system or component-level designs. + Participate in system design reviews to ensure compliance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and completeness. + Implement corrective actions in accordance with Engineering Change Procedures (ECR). + Provide technical assistance to engineering and project teams as required. + Maintain current knowledge of relevant system technologies and standards. Drafting & Documentation + Prepare and release: + Electrical schematics + One-line diagrams + Outline and installation drawings + Assembly and detail drawings + Design faceplate artwork for control systems. + Produce and maintain Bills of Material (BOM). + Compare components used with released BOMs and support the ECR process. + Write and release technical specifications defining system and component requirements. + Maintain strict revision control and documentation integrity. + Perform daily backups of workstation data. Project & Documentation Support + Assemble documentation packages including: + Technical Submittals + Operations & Maintenance Manuals + Training Manuals + Produce drawing sets for production and commissioning. + Assist with standards library maintenance. + Support archiving, document control, and design/documentation activities. Qualifications + Associateu2019s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred. + Experience with electrical drafting software (AutoCAD Electrical or similar). + Working knowledge of NEC, NEMA, UL, and ETL standards. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. + Effective communication and teamwork skills.
