You will coordinate the hospital's Infection Control program in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies as well as the established procedures and standards of care. You will provides surveillance, detection, identification and control of communicable diseases within the hospital. You will understand data analysis and be able to interpret and present your findings. Responsibilities: u00b7 You will develop, coordinate and manage the review and assessment functions of the infection control program. u00b7 You will initiate, develop and deliver education programs on infection control and prevention for staff development and regulatory agency compliance. u00b7 You will serve as liaison with all regulatory agencies and the healthcare community concerning infection prevention issues to assure hospital compliance with infection prevention regulations. u00b7 You will perform targeted surveillance and prepare reports and statistics on healthcare-associated infection rates. u00b7 You will develop and promote consistent application of infection prevention policies and procedures u00b7 You will support emergency management activities and EOC through participation on environmental rounds, bioterrorism and patient influx planning, emergency response drills. u00b7 You will identify community and hospital acquired infections as defined by the Infection Control Committee. Also, identify communicable disease cases to report to the Florida Division of Public Health per established policies. What qualifications you will need: u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree required, Masteru2019s degree preferred u00b7 5+ years in clinical setting required u00b7 2+ years in leadership role required u00b7 5+ years in infection control required u00b7 Certification in Infection Control required u00b7 Knowledge in epidemiological principles and infectious disease.
