Job Summary and Qualifications The Trauma Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In partnership with medical providers, the RN recognizes and reacts to emergent situations and assists in surgical site verification. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do in this role: + Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. + Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider. + Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. + Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response. + Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification. What qualifications you will need: + Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date + Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date + Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date + Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date + PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date + (RN) Registered Nurse + Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse, or Trauma Nursing Core Course, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date + 1 year minimum ED or ICU experience in a Hospital Benefits HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
