Micro Lab Technician

Job Title: Micro Lab TechnicianJob Description Join a dynamic team where you will perform essential quality checks from raw materials to finished goods in an FDA-regulated facility. This role is crucial to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Conduct various quality tests such as metal analysis, salt content, fat content, microbiology, oxygen analysis, liquid analysis, pH test, and butter content. + Perform milk plating and analyze results. + Run tests to detect bacteria in products. + Identify quality issues and communicate them to production and relevant personnel in the lab. + Conduct floor checks on one-hour cycles. + Address quality concerns with production workers constructively. + Work continuously in a fast-paced environment. + Compile necessary quality reports. + Log results and findings accurately. Essential Skills + Experience in laboratory work and quality assurance. + Knowledge of wet chemistry and microbiology. + Understanding of FDA regulations. + Skills in quality control, particularly within the food industry. + Familiarity with titration and food production processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science degree preferred, especially in Biology. + Open to candidates with comparable work experience in lieu of a degree. + Completion of a microbiology course or lab experience is advantageous. + Experience with micro plating for APC/coliform yeast and mold is a plus. Work Environment You will work 75% of the time on the production floor and 25% at a desk. Be prepared to work six days a week, with shifts ranging from 9-10 hours. The role involves working in both a lab and production floor setting within a fast-paced environment that offers opportunities for growth and pay increases.
