Test Engineer

Job Description Day to Day: Insight Global is seeking a Test Engineer to join one of our largest Navy prime contractors. As a trusted provider of naval power and control technology they deliver quality, customer-focused products and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and our allies. Their products meet stringent specifications and have been proven to perform in harsh marine environments. Under the support of the Electrical Engineering department, you will support the production of the new submarine model, specifically the laser weapon system. Join our team as a Test Engineer II working on power controls and power conversion systems and subsystems for use by the US Navy. What You Will Do u2022u2003Design and develop test programs to evaluate product functionality, integrity, and reliability. u2022u2003Write and execute test procedures and protocols to ensure products meet performance standards. u2022u2003Debug and troubleshoot test hardware and software. u2022u2003Use computer-aided engineering and analysis tools for design tasks. u2022u2003Review customer specifications and develop cost-effective designs to meet requirements. u2022u2003Specify and assess supplier components, subsystems, and services. u2022u2003Provide input on budgets, costs, and schedules for design assignments. u2022u2003Develop prototypes to mitigate development risks. u2022u2003Regularly report progress and status.
