Job Title: Facilities Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Facilities Electrician to conduct general electrical repair work and troubleshooting. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, installation services, and construction work while adhering to organizational and national safety and fire codes. The successful candidate will be adept at reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to ensure accurate material take-off and work completion. Responsibilities include installing new electrical systems, fixtures, and wiring, maintaining fire alarms, and recording kilowatt hour readings. Adherence to OSHA standards and proper use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Responsibilities + Conduct general electrical repair work and troubleshooting. + Perform preventive maintenance and installation services. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings. + Install new electrical systems, fixtures, equipment, wiring, and circuits. + Repair and maintain fire alarms. + Record kilowatt hour readings from monthly meter inspections. + Comply with OSHA standards when working with hazardous materials. + Utilize electrical trade tools and test equipment. + Safeguard materials and tools against theft or vandalism. + Troubleshoot and repair fixtures and components of electrical systems. + Perform visual inspections and repair faulty electrical equipment. + Drive utility vehicles to and from work sites and ensure their maintenance. Essential Skills + 5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician. + Proficiency in 480v, 208v, 120v, and 110v electrical systems. + Experience with blueprints and electrical schematics. + Strong understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC, wiring, and troubleshooting. + Knowledge of conduit, generators, and switches. + Experience in mechanical, plumbing, and air compressor systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with building and facility maintenance. + Familiarity with electrical repair and maintenance. + Ability to pass an MVR check. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a dynamic facilities environment that includes both indoor and outdoor tasks, occasionally at heights. The facility consists of nearly 200 buildings divided into 7 zones, each managed by a zone supervisor. While specialized technicians are encouraged to work within their expertise, flexibility is essential for quick response needs. Shifts include 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Friday, a swing shift with varied hours, and a third shift from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM starting Sunday night. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
