Construction Inspector / RPR Civil InfrastructureProjects u2013 Indiana Interested in learning more? Apply Directly to Chaney Cornell at This role is a great fit for an experienced Construction Inspector or RPR with a strong background in civil construction projects who enjoys working in the field and being closely involved in day-to-day construction activities. You will serve as the on-site representative during construction, supporting quality control, progress tracking, and documentation on public infrastructure projects. While the work is focused on municipal water and wastewater improvements, candidates with broader civil inspection experience who understand pipe installation and underground utilities are encouraged to apply. What Youu2019ll Be Doing + Remain on the jobsite daily throughout active construction + Observe contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents + Maintain clear, accurate daily reports, logs, and field documentation + Review construction schedules, shop drawings, samples, and contractor submittals + Verify quantities and review contractor pay applications + Attend pre-construction, progress, and coordination meetings + Communicate field issues to the project engineer and assist with recommended solutions + Support jobsite safety programs and follow established protocols Types of Projects + This role will primarily support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including: + Water main and sanitary sewer installation + Storm sewer improvements + Pump stations and lift stations + Water and wastewater treatment facility construction + Associated underground utility work Why This Opportunity Stands Out + Stable, long-term civil infrastructure work + One primary project at a time, allowing focus and consistency + High autonomy in the field + Annual performance reviews and pay increases + Meaningful community impact through public infrastructure projects + Tax-free expense checks, adding an additional 10-20k in take-home pay What Weu2019re Looking For + Experience as a Construction Inspector or RPR on civil construction projects + Strong understanding of pipe installation and underground utility construction experience working with a civil consulting firm or construction contractor + Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications + Comfortable using Excel, Word, Outlook, and construction reporting software + Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (overnight travel may be required) Experience That Translates Well + Civil construction inspection + Utility and underground infrastructure projects + Water and wastewater projects (preferred, not required) + INDOT or other public infrastructure inspection experience + Former Foremen, Leads, or Superintendents with 5+ years of civil construction experience Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of North Manchester, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
