Job Title: Automation EngineerJob Description We are seeking an Automation / Controls Engineer with strong experience in industrial data systems, historians, alarm management, and visualization. This role involves configuring and maintaining Aveva PI Historian, building dashboards in PI Vision, integrating alarm systems such as Win911, and supporting data flow between Rockwell PLCs, Rockwell Historian, and BMS platforms. Responsibilities + Configure and maintain Aveva PI Historian tags and data interfaces. + Design, build, and maintain PI Vision dashboards for operational visibility. + Ensure accurate, reliable data flow from PLCs, BMS, and historian systems into PI. + Administer Win911 (or similar alarm software) and manage alarm notifications. + Configure alarm data transfer from Rockwell Historian, BMS, and PLC systems into PI. + Support BMS alarm setup and integration with PI Historian and dashboards. + Assist with alarm rationalization, troubleshooting, and optimization as needed. + Support and troubleshoot Rockwell PLC-based automation systems. + Assist with general automation tasks including system updates, data integration, and controls support. + Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT teams to support system reliability and performance. + Document system configurations, alarm logic, and data flows. + Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. + Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders as needed. Essential Skills + Hands-on experience with Aveva PI Historian and PI Visualization (PI Vision). + Experience with Win911 or similar industrial alarm software. + Experience with Rockwell Historian. + Working knowledge of Rockwell PLC platforms. + Experience with BMS systems, including alarm configuration and integration. + Strong understanding of industrial automation environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Controls, or related field) or equivalent experience. + Experience integrating data across PLC, BMS, SCADA, and historian platforms. + Experience supporting IT integration initiatives. + Prior work in pharmaceutical manufacturing, utilities, facilities, or process-driven environments. Work Environment The role involves spending about 25% of the time on the manufacturing floor and 75% at a desk. Proper gowning is required for a clean room environment when on the floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wathena, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
