Job Title: Linen Associate Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for managing the hospital's linens by collecting, tracking, and restocking them throughout various floors of the hospital. Your day starts by loading dirty linens into a truck for cleaning and unloading clean linens into the storage room. You will stock linen carts, ensure closets are filled to par levels, and meticulously track the inventory at each delivery point. Responsibilities + Load and unload linens for cleaning and storage. + Stock linen carts and deliver them to hospital floors. + Maintain accurate records of linen locations and quantities. + Operate an iPad for scanning bins as they arrive and depart. + Distribute and restock linens at designated locations. + Work independently and think on your feet. Essential Skills + Experience in stocking, housekeeping, custodial work, general labor, cleaning, and janitorial tasks. + Ability to stand for 8 hours during the shift. + Personable with good communication skills for interacting with other employees. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in using an iPad for inventory management. + Ability to push, pull, and walk extensively throughout the hospital. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work hours are from 5am to 1:30pm, with a rotating weekend schedule. The position is based in the basement linen department, involving a significant amount of walking, pushing, and pulling throughout the hospital. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
