Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for welding multiple alloys using the TIG welding process and assist the manufacture, assembly, and test for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of production and development for rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft.Responsibilities:Read and interpret engineering drawingsReview, edit and follow work instructionsPrepare and setup hardware according to job specificationsJog and dry-run CNC machine for processingSetup, operate and troubleshoot fiber laser equipmentUtilize precision measuring tools like calipers, depth gauges, micrometers and height gauges to ensure qualityCNC system programming, both at the machine control and with offline softwareExcellent communication skillsProvide manufacturing feedback to design engineersProvide process improvement feedback to process engineersSafely work within an industrial environmentContinuous improvement mindsetQualifications:5+ years of direct experienceUnderstanding of laser optics and processes such as cutting and welding, and part set up - including knowledge of laser safety practices.Ability to set-up and precisely position large scale hardwareAbility to troubleshoot program and/or machine issuesSelf-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as requiredAbility to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as requiredDesired:10+ years of direct experienceCNC G-code language online programmingCNC offline CAM programmingUnderstanding of GD&TAbility to operate manual machine tools (basic lathe, mill)Crane operator/ lift coordinator experienceCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $26.59 - $37.22Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
