Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a second shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1 for our office in Houston, TX . As a second shift CNC Lathe Machinist 1 , youu2019ll be at the heart of precision manufacturing - setting up, programming, and operating state-of-the-art CNC lathe machines to bring innovative tool designs to life. Your expertise ensures accuracy, efficiency, and the highest quality in every component produced. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Reads blueprints and sets up the CNC Lathe to machine parts per specifications. + Edits the G-Code program to machine parts of varying sizes. + Capable of running 2 CNC machines. + Set up parts on the CNC machine, including installing jaws, bore jaws, tool offsets, and 1 st part prove out. + Lifts raw material and attaches it appropriately to the Lathe for + Operates the CNC lathe machine to turn raw materials into finished parts. + Follows safety precautions and safety guidelines. + Operates cranes and overhead cranes as needed. + Inspects machined components and records The above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified; nothing restricts the companyu2019s right to change, assign, or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time or for any reason Education + High school diploma or GED required, + A minimum of one to three years work-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. TECHNICAL SKILLS + Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment. + Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses). + Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. + Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations. + Ethical business practices. + Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks. + Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. + Understanding written statements in work-related documents. + Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
