Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Data Platforms & Engineering, you will design, automate, and operate scalable, reliable data platformsu2014primarily Databricks and Palantir Foundryu2014on Conagrau2019s Azure environment. Your mission is to enable consistent, highu2011quality data engineering and data product delivery through CI/CD, Infrastructureu2011asu2011Code, and strong disaster recovery practices. You will apply Site Reliability Engineering principles to strengthen automation, observability, and resilience across the data platform ecosystem. A Taste of Your Responsibilities + Build, operate, and optimize Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry workspaces, clusters, jobs, storage integrations, and platform configurations. + Manage workspace governance, cluster policies, secrets, access controls, and cost guardrails. + Automate platform provisioning, onboarding, and environment consistency through Infrastructureu2011asu2011Code. + Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable consistent deployment of notebooks, transformations, libraries, and data products, supporting testu2011driven development standards. + Standardize data product delivery using reusable pipeline templates and pavedu2011road deployment frameworks. + Enforce guardrails and quality gates to ensure reliable, safe, and compliant data product releases. + Participate in onu2011call rotations for platform incidents. + Execute runbooks, lead postmortems, and drive improvements that enhance platform reliability. + Perform scheduled chaos testing and disaster recovery readiness checks. Ingredients Required for Your Success + 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, data platform operations, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles. + 2+ years of handsu2011on experience supporting Databricks and/or Palantir Foundry in a production environment. + Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, data pipelines, and integrations. + Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash. + Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (Azure or Google Cloud Platform), networking basics, and identity and access management concepts. + Strong experience with CI/CD, Infrastructureu2011asu2011Code, and platformu2011level automation. + Experience with operational best practices including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and rootu2011cause analysis. + Strong communication skills and ease collaborating with engineering and businessu2011facing teams. + Preferred: 2+ years of experience operating cloud environments (Azure preferred). + Preferred: Experience with Terraform, policyu2011asu2011code, observability tooling, and disaster recovery engineering. + Preferred: Experience influencing platform strategy and mentoring teams on Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps for data engineering. Number of Days in Office: 3 #LI-Hybrid #LI-SG1 #LI-Associate Compensation Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000 _The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employeeu2019s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employeesu2019 equity.
