Job Description Overview We are seeking a Senior Talend Developer to join our Enterprise Data Management team at LMU and play a key role in modernizing our existing ETL landscape. This individual will focus on updating and securing legacy Talend code, modernizing hundreds of existing ETL jobs, and partnering closely with security and cloud teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and future-ready data pipelines. This role requires deep hands-on Talend expertise, strong experience with Oracle-based data environments, and comfort operating in AWS while applying modern development and security best practices. Key Responsibilities u2003u2022 Lead the modernization of existing Talend ETL and API jobs, including reviewing and refactoring approximately 400 legacy ETL jobs within the enterprise data warehouse. u2003u2022 Partner closely with the Security team to implement and enhance authentication, authorization, and secure data access patterns across ETL processes. u2003u2022 Upgrade and refactor Talend jobs to align with current coding standards, performance best practices, and cloud-first architecture. u2003u2022 Support and execute Oracle migrations, including optimizing ETL logic for modern Oracle and AWS environments. u2003u2022 Develop and maintain Talend ETL and API integrations, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability. u2003u2022 Work with code stored within databases, identifying opportunities for improvement, standardization, and modernization. u2003u2022 Use GitHub for version control, peer reviews, and collaborative development. u2003u2022 Provide technical guidance and recommendations around ETL design, security integration, and cloud data architecture. u2003u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, security, infrastructure, and application teams. u2003u2022 Time Spent: 80% focused on ETL, 20% focused on APIs We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
