This role is designed for an accomplished project leader who wants to expand their influence beyond individual assignments and support program level planning, consistency, and delivery excellence while remaining closely engaged in project execution.As Deputy Program Manager, you will support the leadership and execution of a portfolio of industryu2011defining bridge and transportation projects and programs. You will take ownership to deliver projects consistently and efficiently, and champion technical excellence, while nurturing and maintaining strong client relationships and supporting future workload planning.You will also help guide program strategy, support regional leadership, and help shape our growing Richmond office while still engaging in challenging and innovative engineering and delivery. Your work will shape our portfolio, expand our market influence, and help solve some of the most interesting structural challenges of today.When you join us, youu2019ll be responsible for:u2022 Provide top-tier technical leadership on complex structural and transportation projects u2014 including design build and alternative delivery programs.u2022 Support oversight of multiple concurrent bridge and transportation projects.u2022 Oversee all phases of project delivery, from visioning and planning to execution, risk management, and successful closeout.u2022 Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure technical excellence and contract compliance across projects.u2022 Direct high-performing project teams, guiding staffing, scheduling, budget control, quality, and safety while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.u2022 Build and maintain strong relationships with VDOT and other state/local agencies.u2022 Anticipate client needs, deliver unmatched service, and position Jacobs for continued repeat business.u2022 Lead strategic pursuits, proposals, interviews, and presentations that shape our future pipeline.u2022 Represent Jacobs in client meetings, industry events, and public forums as a respected project and technical leader.u2022 Identify emerging opportunities and help chart the future of our structural bridge practice at the local, regional, and national level.u2022 Support Project Manageru2019s with staffing strategies, scope management, schedule recovery, and budget performance.u2022 Mentor and inspire the next generation of bridge engineers across our organization.#LM1236 u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Civil Engineering.u2022 Significant experience in structural engineering, design management, and project management with a focus on bridge or complex structures.u2022 Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.u2022 Established relationships with VDOT or other state/local agencies.u2022 Proven success as a Project Manager on transportation projects.u2022 Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.u2022 Working knowledge of VDOT standards, practices, and design procedures.u2022 Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.u2022 A strong professional network and active involvement in industry organizations.u2022 Experience managing multidisciplinary projects for a variety of transportation clients.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
