Machine Maintenance

JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the MaintenanceManager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing dutiesto repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building, and facilitiesrequiring a broad knowledge of basic maintenance skills includingmechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, andknowledge of electrical repair. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. Install, repair,rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used inproduction and related services. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions andoperating difficulties. Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance(P.M.) on equipment and machinery. Make repairs or adjustments to keepequipment in production. Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesomecomponents and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection,machining, or replacement of purchased parts. Perform various activitiesrelative to the installation and relocation of existing machines andequipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting, andaligning oper Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and thegrounds. Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcomingprojects and the requirements for completion. Perform preventivemaintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.Maintain required maintenance logs and files. Interpret and understandbasic electrical and hydraulic prints, ability to troubleshoot and makenecessary repairs. Perform routine housekeeping activities in thedepartment and ensure adherence to established safety procedures andrequirements. SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Requires the use of safety shoes, safetyglasses and hearing protection.
