Extrusion Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Under the direction of the ExtrusionManager, the Extrusion Technician is responsible for overseeing therunning of extruders on the shift, setting the dies, completingdocumentation, and maintaining process parameters to ensure themanufacturing of quality products. This will be achieved whilemaintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications bysupporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, andrequired documentation. Essential Functions: Understand and follow allwork instructions to set up, start, and put into production any and allextruded products Ensure that all process parameters are maintainedwithin the specification limits. Follow all instructions and directionsset forth by the Extrusion Tech Lead. Assist in training ExtrusionOperators on the shift. Understand and perform all aspects of toolingsetups, cleaning of tools, and storage of tools. Follow all instructionsto maintain inventory control and cycle counts Have good communicationwith the punch department. Maintain a safe and clean work municate all quality and/or process issues to the Extrusion Manager,the Extrusion Technician Lead, and other necessary support departments.Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's IATF16949/ISO14001certifications by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, workinstructions, and required documentation. Other Functions: Cross-trainas a Punch Technician. Perform Extrusion Operator functions as needed.Perform grinding duties as needed. Other duties as assigned. Success inthis Role Requires: Understanding of extrusion processing, generallyaccepted manufacturing principles, with the ability to documentnon-conformances. Read and interpret shop orders. Understanding ofinventory and the impact of cycle counting on company records. RequiredPersonal Protective Equipment Safety shoes are to be worn at alltimes during your scheduled work hours Department manager/supervisorwill cover additional PPE as required on department-specific workinstructions. All employees entering the manufacturing area and otheridentified locations must wear designated Personal Protective Equipment(PPE). Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a conditionof employment. Forklift certified at HellermannTyton What You'll Bring:High school diploma or equivalent. Good oral and written communicationskills. Ability to read and understand tool and productblueprints/specifications. Basic computer skills. Ability tolift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 12 hours whenscheduled. Prior forklift experience preferred. Must be able to performdetailed inspections and complete associated documentation.
