This job is HYBRID.FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: Plays amajor role in the interdisciplinary care team's successful adoption ofthe electronic medical record. This role is knowledgeable about clinicalworkflows and the role technology plays in those workflows. This roleutilizes change management principals to facilitate the adoption of newclinical workflows brought about by technology updates. To achievemaximum adoption, this role will coordinate (or provide expertise in)the planning, design, development, training, implementation,communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existingfunctionality related to clinical and business information systems incollaboration with IT and clinical operations. Working under thedirection of leadership, integrates nursing/clinical science, computerscience, informational science to manage and communicate data,information, knowledge and expertise in clinical practice. Works as aliaison among stakeholders in order to ensure engagement and elicit,analyze, prioritize and vali date workflows and requirements for changesin processes, policies, and information systems. Ensuresdata/information is current with regulatory agency and best practicestandards. Coordinates the collection and reporting of metrics definingbenefits realization associate with the clinical information systems.Serves as an internal consultant to all departments to identify andachieve department and project goals. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimumof 2 years of nursing clinical experience. Demonstrated competency andknowledge as acquired by the participation in multi-disciplinaryimplementation projects with a clinical scope or a minimum of 2 years ofclinical informatics experience required. 3 or more years of NursingInformatics experience preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Any non-BSNnurse with less than one year of licensed registered nurse experiencewill be required to enroll in a BSN (or higher nursing degree) program.Acceptance into a program is expected within 15 months of hire and thedegree program completed within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years ifprogram is MSN, DNP or PhD in Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing ispreferred. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Expertise with statisticalanalysis and interpretation of data. Strategic problem solving,organization, and superior planning skills. Excellent verbal and writtenskills for high-level communication. Previous experience Ability tomanage and coordinate implementation, design and maintenance of clinicalinformation systems used to improve clinical operations for a serviceline, group of service lines or clinical platform. Ability to plan,prioritize, summarize, direct and oversee staff, users and vendors inclinical systems development, enhancement and support functions with anemphasis on quality solutions the impact of change to people and processin clinical operations. Demonstrated team player who can workeffectively across teams. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requires current stateof Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing Licensefrom a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
