In March 2024, Isometric was acquired by NisshaMedical Technologies (NMT), a global Contract Design/DevelopmentManufacturing Organization. NMT's expertise in the design anddevelopment of endoscopic devices, combined with Isometric'smicro-molding capabilities, have the potential to redefine the realm ofminimally invasive surgical instruments and surgical robotics. Together,we aim to address the changing demands of medical devices by enhancingcomponent miniaturization and improving the maneuverability of small andprecision components, ultimately advancing medical efficiency. It's anexciting time to join our team, and we're hiring for a 2nd shift ToolMaker This role is responsible for final precision grinding andassembly of Isometric's micron precision molds and fixtures. The hoursfor this position are Monday-Thursday, 3:00PM-1:30AM. EssentialFunctions and Responsibilities: Analyze mold specifications from CADmodels and blueprints to plan optimal build approach. Perform thefinal grinding and assembly of molds ensuring proper fits and function. Collaborate with the CNC, EDM and Polishing groups to ensure thecomponentry is manufactured to the specifications required for properfinal fit, assembly, function, and attainment of molded productspecifications. Work with process engineering technicians totroubleshoot and optimize part molding performance and adherence toproduct specifications following first-off and subsequent mold tests. Troubleshoot mold related problems as they occur and perform repairs andmodifications necessary to ensure molds are in efficient operatingcondition and mold product to specification. Perform mold maintenanceto ensure proper function. Perform work in an efficient and timelymanner to ensure that customer timelines are achieved. Mentorapprentice Tool Makers as directed by management. Maintain properdocumentation as required. Comply with company quality and safetystandards, policies, and procedures. Education and/or Experience: Associate/Technical degree in machine tooling or similar discipline ORat least five (5) or more years of experience in high precision moldbuilding. Excellent grinding skills and ability to consistently grindto one tenth accuracy In-depth problem-solving capabilities Veryhigh attention to detail is required High level of integrity andethics that aligns with Isometric Core Values. Ability to handlesensitive and proprietary information with discretion andconfidentiality.
