GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Develop and implement solutions using people, process, and technology to provide assurance in the security of the Cooperative cyber infrastructure and information. Monitor security state information and respond to cyber security incidents. Help to ensure compliance with NERC CIP Cyber Security Standards. Administer, maintain, deploy, and upgrade cyber security systems, hardware, and applications. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Tracks tasks and assignments for effective planning and execution of team performance. + Engages with the fellow cyber security team regulary and monitors team communication channels for team input and collaboration activity. + Respectfully represents the cyber security position in all communications. + Correlates security-events between multiple systems for potential security breaches or violations of policy. + Leads in the identification, handling and resolution of cyber security incidents. + Leads in the development, implementation and review of security plans, policies and procedures. + Presents end-user cyber security training and awareness programs on security policies and guidelines. + Administers risk assessments and mitigation plans for Cooperative cyber systems. + Works collaboratively and effectively communicates crucial security details with cooperative teams. + Reviews system specific security bulletins for vulnerabilities applicable to Cooperative information systems, makes mitigation recommendations to systems owners and tracks progress in applying mitigation. + Maintains and administers compliant work processes according to applicable regulatory standards and Cooperative policies and programs. + Leads in the development and evaluation of Technology & Security disaster recovery plans. + Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job. + Handles stress and works well with others. + Guides Member Cooperative to implement cyber security controls and systems. + Intermediate understanding of networking and firewall policies to help develop access control lists. + Intermediate understanding of networking and firewall hardware to be able to help maintain, deploy, and upgrade devices. + Intermediate understanding of cyber security systems to be able to help maintain, deploy, and upgrade systems and applications. + Finds cyber security related issues and drives these issues to resolution. + Performs any other related duties as required or assigned. + Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CONT'D MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus at least 0-2 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the relevant Vice President. + Cyber Security Specialist I 0-2 years experience + Cyber Security Specialist II 2+ years experience + Cyber Security Specialist III 5+ years experience + Sr. Cyber Security Specialist 8+ years experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Any technology related which compliments the requirements of the essential duties and responsibilities listed. Or equivalent and relevant combination of specific work experience complimenting the essential duties and responsibilities. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The reliability, availability and security of the Cooperative's networks are critical for core business resources and applications. Given the demand for such a sustainable network, the position will occasionally require work outside normal business hours. The position will also require participation in an on-call rotation among other employees in the Division, wherein the employee will assist the troubleshooting security-related issues reported by users. Travel will occasionally be required to perform on-site maintenance and installation of network equipment, as well as for training purposes and to attend professional conferences.
