This role requires translating user stories and businessrequirements into technical solutions while enhancing and maintainingexisting applications for performance and reliability. Working in acollaborative Agile/Scrum environment, the Developer partners withcross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software, contributes toarchitectural decisions, and acts as a subject matter expert indebugging and performance optimization.This position will be hired at the Developer II, Developer III, orLead Developer level. This position is eligible to work hybrid or onsite in accordancewith our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas orMissouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.What you'll do- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure application solutions to support complex business requirements.- Interpret user stories and business needs into technical specifications and actionable development tasks.- Enhance, refactor, and maintain existing applications with a focus on performance, stability, and scalability.- Work collaboratively with product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, and fellow developers in an Agile/Scrum team.- Serve as a subject matter expert in debugging and resolving complex application issues and performance bottlenecks.- Ensure the delivery of high-quality code through comprehensive unit testing and participation in peer reviews.- Contribute to architectural and design decisions, offering insights based on experience and best practices.- Maintain accurate, up-to-date technical documentation for systems, codebases, and development processes.- Stay informed on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions that improve productivity and system performance.What you needKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:- Ability to translate user specifications into written code.- Knowledge of data access methods to create, read, update, and delete data.- Awareness of industry architecture.- Familiarity with utility usage and tools.- Familiarity with Sy tem Development Life Cycle (SDLC).- Basic understanding of database concepts.- Awareness of technical trends.- Ability to utilize versioning tools.Education and Experience:- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Bachelor's degree or completion of a Computer Science program from a Technical Trade School preferred.- Minimum of 2 years of application development experience with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language.Bonus if you haveProven experience in the delivery of high quality solutions utilizingthe Microsoft .Net framework (C#/VB/ASP) and associated technologiesincluding: WPF, MVC, HTML5, CSSS, JavaScript, jQuery, RDLC, NuGet,WinForms, SQL (DB2, MSSQL), SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS,IIS, GitLab, XML, JSON, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, Visio,PowerShell Nice to have: Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe LiveCycle Designer,Crystal, Cognos, us
