Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Packaging/Federal Reserve Vault and Single Note Inspection Division DCF. As an Order Fulfillment Supervisor, you will serve as the Order Fulfillment Supervisor in the Order Fulfillment Branch, Inspection & Finishing Division, Office of Currency Manufacturing. This position supervises several non-craft personnel in multiple areas as well as non-craft supervisors. Responsibilities As an Order Fulfillment Supervisor, you will: - Conduct management review of productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of operational processes and conducts 5s audit to ensure adherence to Lean Six Sigma processing. - Make proposals for operational improvement as well as new measures of productivity based on the findings of the studies and justify/defend those recommendations. - Continually monitor work for adherence to all documents and standards in place for designated supervised areas and assess the operational effectiveness of the quality procedures and standards. Requirements Conditions of Employment All newly appointed employees to the competitive (or excepted) service are subject to a probationary (or trial) period. During this time, your performance, conduct, and suitability for continued employment will be evaluated. You will not automatically convert to permanent status at the end of the probationary (or trial) period. Your supervisor must affirmatively determine that continued employment is in the best interest of the Federal service. A one-year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Pass a pre-employment physical examination Wear required safety clothing and/or equipment required by the position. This may include safety shoes, hard hats, hearing protection, gloves, masks, etc. Shift Work: This facility operates on a 24 hour per day, three-shift basis. Assignment to a specific shift cannot be guaranteed. The successful applicant must be available to work on all three shifts on a rotational basis.
