Job Title: Assembler - 1st Shift Gasketer/Builder Job Description We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Assembler. In this role, you will begin in gasketing and eventually transition to building, providing an opportunity for growth and a pay increase. The position requires the assembly of sub-components and finished products, as well as material processing within a well-organized facility. Responsibilities + Gasket sheet metal plates using a tape gun and work collaboratively with a partner. + Build up to gasketing 400 plates per shift in a fast-paced department. + Assemble and fit metal products using hand and power tools. + Operate an overhead crane to build heat exchangers. + Review assembly diagrams to determine parts and quantities needed. + Lift, climb, stand, walk, and extend arms for extended periods. + Work with a team member to fulfill product orders daily. Essential Skills + Experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to read assembly drawings and schematics. + Experience operating an overhead crane. + Familiarity with blueprints and mechanical assembly. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED (must obtain within a certain time after conversion to permanent). + Ability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently). + Regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
