JOB REQUIREMENTS: Participating Faculty - Nurse Anesthesia ProgramPosting Number: 201104702 Employment Status: Full Time Job Family:Faculty Position Overview The College of Nursing invites CRNA candidateswith an appropriate graduate degree, clinical expertise and strongteaching skills to submit applications for this 12-month position. Thisposition teaches in the Nurse Anesthesia Program with a focus ondidactic courses and participates in evaluation and revision of thenurse anesthesia option curriculum. The role reports to the programdirector. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities: Teaching andInstruction Teach graduate-level courses within the Nurse AnesthesiaEducational Program. Contribute to the development and delivery ofdidactic course content. Provide high-quality, current, evidence-basedinstruction. Participate in simulation and case-based learningactivities that support anesthesia education. Collaborate with facultyto ensure course content reflects contemporary anesthesia practice.Student Support and Mentorship Serve as a resource and mentor for nurseanesthesia students. Participate in student evaluation processes inaccordance with program policies. Program Participation and QualityImprovement Participate in curriculum review and program evaluationactivities. Contribute to program initiatives that support accreditationstandards and continuous improvement. Assist with student recruitmentand informational activities related to the program. Scholarship andService Maintain scholarly activity and professional service consistentwith faculty rank expectations. Participate in college and universitycommittees and service activities. Contribute to the advancement of thenurse anesthesia profession through scholarship, service, orprofessional engagement. Professional Practice Maintaincertification/recertification as a Certified Registered NurseAnesthetist. Maintain RN/APRN licensure Engage in clinical practiceconsistent with program and university expectations. Required Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Graduate degree in nursing and earned doctorate innursing from an institution of higher education accredited by a nationalrecognized accrediting agency Current RN and APRN licensure in currentstate of residence with eligibility for Wisconsin licensure. Fullcertification or recertification as granted by NBCRNA . Active nurseanesthesia clinical practice Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated potential for teaching excellence and service.
