The ORI supports several federally mandated review committees. The family of IRB Specialist positions in the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) coordinate the business of the ORI and Institutional Review Boards (IRB) by screening, preparing, and distributing protocol review documentation, coordinating review meetings, preparing post-meeting follow-up correspondence, ensuring reviewers and researchers receive appropriate education regarding the protection of human participants and federal regulations, conducting quality assurance/improvement site visits, facilitating reliance agreements, and maintaining the integrity of human subjects research and the overall human research protections program (HRPP) at the University of Kentucky. IRB Specialists serve as information resources for IRB members, researchers, faculty advisors, and study personnel.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
