Registered Respiratory Therapist II

Registered Respiratory Therapist II sought by UofL Health - Louisville, Inc. d/b/a UofL Health - Jewish Hospital, in Louisville, KY, to be responsible for the following: plans & administers non-medicated aerosol & humidity therapy, oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication & specialty gas therapy, incentive spirometry, & bronchial hygiene; performs airway management, chest physiotherapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, & manual ventilation during resuscitation attempts; & cleans & reprocesses respiratory therapy equipment, aides in rapid response calls, provides patient, family, staff & physician education, collects arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, & operates mechanical ventilators & manages ventilator settings & weaning per protocols & provider orders. Min. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Respiratory Therapy, or other related field, and Respiratory Care Practitioner License from the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care and certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
